How to add a new card in Trello for a new file added in Google Drive
Set the Google Drive trigger as "File added to folder"
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and initiates your playbook's actions.
Click "Add trigger" and select "File added to folder" under Google Drive automation. Then, select the parent folder where files are added. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect new files added to the Google Drive folder and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Google Drive integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the "Add card to list" in Trello automation
Integrate the Trello automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt addition of a new card for each file added to a specific folder in Google Drive.
Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Add card to list" automation for Trello and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If your Trello account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Trello account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the addition of a new card to the Trello list. Once turned on, it will respond to a new file added in the specific folder in Google Drive by adding a new card to the Trello list without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
