How to create a new channel in Slack for each project added in Linear
Set the Linear trigger as "New project added"
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and initiates your playbook's actions.
Click "Add trigger" and select "New project added" under Linear automation. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect new projects added in Linear and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Linear integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the "Create channel " in Slack automation
Integrate Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new channel for each project added in Linear.
Select "Add Step" and then find the "Create channel" automation for Slack and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If you still need to connect your Slack account to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Ensure that you allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Slack account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new channel in Slack. Once turned on, it will respond to new projects added in Linear by creating a corresponding channel in Slack without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
