How to update AirTable records for new responses in Google Forms
Add the Google Forms "Form response submitted" trigger
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.
Click "Add trigger" and select "Form response submitted" under Google Forms. Then, select the form. This trigger will automatically detect all the new submitted responses in Google Forms to update the AirTable records.
If this is your first time using a Google Forms integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Google Forms account.
Add the AirTable "Update record" automation
Integrate the AirTable automation into your playbook to ensure prompt updates of the AirTable records for newly submitted responses in Google Forms. Add a new step and select "Get record" to select which record to update, then, "Update record" from the list of AirTable automations.
Connect AirTable to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Google Forms to automatically pass along the right data.
Turn on the playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step in your automation process. Once turned on, it will respond to new form responses submitted in Google Forms by updating the corresponding record in AirTable without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
