How to automatically save a message sender in HubSpot to a Mailjet contact list

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across HubSpot, Mailjet, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “add contact to list” action in Mailjet for each message received in HubSpot using Relay.app.

1

Create your playbook and set the HubSpot trigger as "Message received"

After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

To setup this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Message received" under HubSpot. Then, select the inbox. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the message received in HubSpot and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a HubSpot integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the "Get or create contact" in Mailjet automation

Integrate the Mailjet automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new contact in Mailjet when a new message is received in HubSpot.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Get or create contact" automation for Mailjet and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Mailjet account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Mailjet account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new contact in Mailjet. Once turned on, it will respond to each new message received in HubSpot by creating a new contact on Mailjet without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
