How to integrate Apollo.io Contacts and Pipedrive Person
Add the Apollo trigger
A trigger is responsible for detecting changes in your connected apps and running your playbook in response.
In this case, the "Contact created" trigger for Apollo will automatically create new playbook runs whenever a new Contact is created in Apollo (via accessing their email or adding them into an Apollo Sequence).
Click "Add trigger" in your playbook, select the Apollo "Contact created" trigger. If this is the first time you're setting it up, you'll be prompted to connect to your Apollo account.
Create the Pipedrive organization
A playbook contains steps that will be executed during every run. Automations are steps that take some action in another tool.
In this playbook, you can set up a "Get or create organization" automation for Pipedrive to get the organization (or create one if it doesn't exist) using the Apollo Contact's information.
Click the "Add step" button, then navigate to "Automations", find the Pipedrive automation, and fill out the details. You can refer to the Apollo Contact from the trigger to use the Contact's organization name.
If this is the first time you're setting it up, you'll be prompted to connect to your Pipedrive account.
Create Pipedrive person
Now you can add the automation to create the Pipedrive person with the information from Apollo Contact and associate with the Organization you just created from the last step.
Similar to the last step, click on "Add step" -> "Automations" -> select Pipedrive -> select "Get or create person". Fill out details referring to Apollo Contact and Organization from the previous step.
Do a test run or turn on the playbook
You can do a test run by selecting a contact from the trigger. Click on "Test" in the upper right corner, then select a contact from the dropdown. This will create a test run using the automations you've set up in this playbook.
Once you are happy with the set up, don't forget to turn on the playbook (the toggle on the upper right corner) to put this playbook to work!
