How to send automatic Slack DMs for new Google Form responses
Set the Google Forms trigger as “Form response submitted”
Add the Google Forms trigger to initiate your playbook's actions before submitting a form.
To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook and select the "Form response submitted" trigger from the Google Forms options. Then, choose the specific form you want to work with (e.g., "Contacts Information"). This will allow your playbook to identify new form submissions and automatically perform the necessary actions.
If you still need to connect your Google Forms account to Relay, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the “Send DM” step in Slack
Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure that you receive timely updates about the tasks.
Select "Add Step" and then find the "Send DM" automation for Slack. Enter all the required details, including the sender's name, the recipient's name, the Slack channel, and the message body containing detailed information.
If you still need to connect your Slack account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Ensure that you allow the necessary permissions for Relay to send messages through your Slack account.
Activate your playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step. Once turned on, it will respond to send Slack DMs for new Google Forms responses without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together.
