How to automatically add a Front message sender to your Slack channel
Set the Front trigger as "Message received"
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and initiates your playbook's actions.
Click "Add trigger" and select "Message received" under Front automation. Then, select the inbox. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect new messages received in Front and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Front integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the "Add to channel" in Slack automation
Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt addition to the channel for each message received in Front.
Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Add to channel" automation for Slack and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If your Slack account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Slack account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the addition of a new user in the Slack channel. Once turned on, it will respond to each message received in Front by adding the sender as a user to the Slack channel without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
