How to automatically create a new customer in Paddle for a Cal.com booking participant

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "New booking" under Cal.com. Then, select the event type. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the new bookings added to Cal.com and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a Cal.com integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

Integrate the Paddle automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new customer from each participant in the Cal.com booking.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Get or create customer" automation for Paddle and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Paddle account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Paddle account.

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new customer in Paddle. Once turned on, it will respond to new bookings made on Cal.com by creating a new customer in Paddle for each participant in the booking without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
