How to automatically schedule Outlook Calendar events from Jotform submissions

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Jotform, Outlook Calendar, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “create event” action in Outlook Calendar for each form submission received in Jotform using Relay.app.

1

Create your playbook and set the Jotform trigger as "Form submission received"

After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

To setup this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Form submission received" under Jotform. Then, select the form. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the newly submitted form in Jotform and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a Jotform integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the "Create event" in Outlook Calendar automation

Integrate the Outlook Calendar automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new event for each new submission received to a specific form in Jotform.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Create event" automation for Outlook Calendar and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Outlook Calendar account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Outlook Calendar account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new event for each new form submission. Once turned on, it will respond whenever a new form submission received in a specific form in Jotform by creating a new event in Outlook Calendar without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
