Set the Cal.com trigger as “Booking upcoming”

A playbook always starts with a trigger, responsible for detecting changes in your connected applications and responding accordingly.

Add the Cal.com trigger to initiate your playbook's actions every time a booking is upcoming. Click "Add trigger" in your playbook and choose "Booking upcoming" from the dropdown menu under Cal.com.

If you still need to connect your Cal.com account to Relay.app yet, a prompt will guide you through the process.

2

Add the “Send DM as Bot” step in Slack

Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sending of direct messages as a bot on Slack every time a booking is upcoming on Cal.com.

Click the "Add step" button, locate the “Send DM as Bot” automation for Slack, and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Slack account still needs to be connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Slack account.

3

Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step in the process. Once you turn it on, it will automatically send direct messages as a bot on Slack every time a booking is upcoming on Cal.com without requiring manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button at the header. Before activating, we recommend performing a test run of your playbook to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
