How to automatically update a contact in Apollo every time a row is changed in Coda

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Apollo, Coda, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “update contact” action in Apollo for each row changed in Coda using Relay.app.

1

Set the Coda trigger as “Row changed”

A playbook always starts with a trigger that detects changes in your connected applications and responds accordingly.

Add the Coda trigger to initiate your playbook's actions every time a row changes. Click "Add trigger" in your playbook and choose "Row changed" from the dropdown menu under Coda.

If you still need to connect your Coda account to Relay.app yet, a prompt will guide you through the process.

2

Add the “Update contact” step in Apollo

Integrate Apollo automation into your workflow to automatically update a contact in Apollo every time a row is changed in Coda.

Click the "Add step" button, locate the "Update contact" automation for Apollo, and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Apollo account still needs to be connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Apollo account.

3

Activate your playbook

Activating the playbook is the last step in the process. Once you turn it on, it automatically updates a contact in Apollo every time a row is changed in Coda without requiring manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button at the header. Before activating, we recommend performing a test run of your playbook to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
