How to automatically upload Google Form responses as files to Google Drive
Create your playbook and set the Google Forms trigger as "Form response submitted"
After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.
To set up this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Form response submitted" under Google Forms. Then, select the form. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the newly received response in Google Forms and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Google Forms integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the "Upload file" in Google Drive automation
Integrate the Google Drive automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt upload of file for each response submission received in Google Forms.
Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Upload file" automation for Google Drive and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If your Google Drive account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Google Drive account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate uploading the file in Google Drive. Once turned on, it will respond to each new response submission received in Google Forms by uploading the specific file in Google Drive without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
