How to create a new contact in Salesforce for each new Paddle subscription
Sync new Paddle subscriptions with Salesforce
Begin by setting up the steps that coordinate between Paddle and Salesforce for your workflow.
First, sign up for Relay.app and go to your dashboard. Click on the "New playbook" button to initiate the playbook creation process.
Name your playbook with a unique title like "Sync new Paddle subscriptions with Salesforce" and select a relevant emoji, such as đź“ť, to easily identify it.
Set the Paddle trigger as "Subscription created "
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.
Click "Add trigger" and select "Subscription created" under Paddle. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the newly created subscription and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Paddle integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add a Salesforce "Create contact" step
Integrate the Salesforce automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new contact in Salesforce when a new subscription is created in Paddle.
Click the "Add step" button and choose "Create record" under Salesforce. Then select "Contact" as the object type, and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If your Salesforce account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Salesforce account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new contact in Salesforce. Once turned on, it will respond to a newly created subscription in Paddle by creating a new contract in Salesforce without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
