How to get Teams notifications for new Zoom meetings

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Zoom, Teams, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “send message” action in Teams for each meeting created in Zoom using Relay.app.

1

Create your playbook and set the Zoom trigger as "Meeting created"

After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

To setup this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Meeting created" under Zoom. Then, select the necessary details. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the newly created meeting in Zoom and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a Zoom integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the "Send message" in Teams automation

Integrate the Teams automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sending of a message in Teams whenever a new specific meeting is created in Zoom.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Send message" automation for Teams and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Teams account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Teams account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate sending of a message in Teams. Once turned on, it will respond whenever a specific meeting is created in Zoom by sending a message to Teams without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
