How to sync new records in Retable as new contacts in Outlook Contacts

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Retable, Outlook Contacts, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to automatically run the “get or create contact” action in Outlook Contacts for each row added in Retable using Relay.app.

1

Create your playbook and set the Retable trigger as "Row added"

After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.

To setup this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Row added" under Retable. Then, select the table and the type of changes you're interested in monitoring. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the new rows added in Retable and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a Retable integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the "Get or create contact" in Outlook Contacts automation

Integrate the Outlook Contacts automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of a new contact in Outlook Contacts when a new row is added to Retable.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Get or create contact" automation for Outlook Contacts and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Outlook Contacts account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Outlook Contacts account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the creation of a new contact in Outlook Contacts. Once turned on, it will respond to each new row added in Retable by creating a new contact in Outlook Contacts without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
