How to update and manage HubSpot contacts when recipients unsubscribe in Lemlist

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Unsubscribed recipient" under Lemlist. This trigger will automatically detect all the unsubscribed recipients in Lemlist to update the HubSpot contact.

If this is your first time using a Lemlist integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Lemlist account.

Integrate the HubSpot automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt update of the HubSpot contact from the Lemlist unsubscribe recipient. Add a new step and select "Get contact" & "Update contact" from the list of HubSpot automations.

Connect HubSpot to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Lemlist to automatically pass along the right data.

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate updating the contact in HubSpot for every unsubscribed recipient in Lemlist. Once turned on, it will respond to every unsubscribed recipient in Lemlist by updating the corresponding contact in HubSpot without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are sent correctly.
