How to automatically send a Slack message when Stripe subscriptions change
Set the Stripe trigger as “Subscription changed”
Add the Stripe trigger to initiate your playbook's actions before changing your subscription.
To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Subscription changed" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Stripe. It will enable your playbook to identify newly changed subscriptions and trigger necessary actions automatically.
If you haven't connected your Stripe account to Relay yet, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the “Send message” automation in Slack
Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure you receive timely updates about the changes in the Stripe subscription.
Select "Add Step" and then search for the "Send message" automation for Slack. Fill in all the relevant details, including the sender's name, the Slack channel for updates, and the message body containing detailed information.
If you still need to connect your Slack account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to send messages through your Slack account.
Activate your playbook
Activating your playbook is the last step. Once you turn it on, the playbook automatically sends a Slack message when Stripe subscriptions change without manual intervention.
To activate your playbook, click the toggle button in the header. Before starting it, we recommend running a test to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
