How to send email confirmations via Outlook for new Cal.com bookings
Create your playbook and set the Cal.com trigger as "New booking"
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.
To set up this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "New booking" under Cal.com. Then, select details like the event type. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the new bookings in Cal.com and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Cal.com integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the "Send email" in Outlook automation
Integrate the Outlook automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sending of an email via Outlook whenever a new booking is created in Cal.com.
Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Send email" automation for Outlook and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If your Outlook account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Outlook account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the sending of an email via Outlook. Once turned on, it will respond to each new booking created in Cal.com by sending an email via Outlook without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
