How to update the ClickUp task when the corresponding Airtable record is updated
Set the ClickUp trigger as "Task status changed"
Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.
Click "Add trigger" and select "Task status changed" under ClickUp. Then, select the necessary details. This trigger will automatically detect the changes in the ClickUp task's status and initiate the necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a ClickUp integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your ClickUp account.
Add the "Get record" & "Update record" in Airtable automation
Integrate the Airtable automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt update of the corresponding record for each ClickUp task status change.
Select "Add step," then locate the "Get record" to reference which record needs to be updated. Then, click "Update record" automation for Airtable and input the mandatory and relevant details.
If your Airtable account isn't connected to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to add contacts through your Airtable account.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to automate updating the record in Airtable. Once turned on, it will respond to ClickUp task update by updating the corresponding record in Airtable without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
