How to automatically move a file from one folder to another in Google Drive whenever a new email is received in your Outlook
Create your playbook and set the Outlook trigger as "Email received"
After creating your playbook, you can proceed to add your trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and responds to your playbook.
To setup this playbook, click "Add trigger" and then select "Email received" under Outlook. Then, select also trigger for incoming replies. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the newly received email in Outlook and initiate necessary actions.
If this is your first time using a Outlook integration in Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the Google Drive "Find file(s)" & "Move file" automation
Integrate the Google Drive automation into your playbook to ensure the file is moved promptly in Google Drive for the specific emails received in Outlook. Add a new step and select "Find file(s)" and "Move file" from the list of Google Drive automations.
Connect Google Drive to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Gmail to automatically pass along the right data.
Activate your Relay.app playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step. Once turned on, it will respond to the specific emails received in Outlook by moving a specific file to a specific folder in Google Drive without manual intervention.
To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
