How to automatically create email drafts in Gmail every time a version is created in Jira

A playbook always starts with a trigger, which is responsible for detecting changes in your connected applications and responding accordingly.

Add the Jira trigger to initiate your playbook's actions every time a version is created. Click "Add trigger" in your playbook and choose "Version created" from the dropdown menu under Jira.

If you still need to connect your Jira account to Relay.app yet, a prompt will guide you through the process.

Integrate the Gmail automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of email drafts in Gmail every time a version is created in Jira.

Click the "Add step" button, locate the “Create draft” automation for Gmail, and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Gmail account still needs to be connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Gmail account.

Activating your playbook is the last step in the process. Once you turn it on, it will automatically create email drafts in Gmail whenever a version is created in Jira without requiring manual intervention.
