How to automatically update a row in Google Sheets for every new Stripe payment created
Set the Stripe trigger as “Payment created”
Add the Stripe trigger to initiate your playbook's actions for every new payment created.
To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Payment created" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Stripe. It will enable your playbook to automatically identify newly created payments and trigger necessary actions.
If you still need to connect your Stripe account to Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the “Update row” step in Google Sheets
Integrate Google Sheets automation to update a row instantly for every new Stripe payment created.
Click "Add Step" and locate the "Get row" automation feature. Then, select the sheet you intend to work with. For instance, let's assume you want to work with the "Payment" table. Once you have chosen the sheet, select an identifier in the "Add filter" that matches your Stripe data. In this example, the identifier is "Customer".
Afterward, add another step to your playbook by selecting "Update row." Next, click on relevant fields that you want to update and fill in the necessary details such as Amount, and Description
If you still need to connect your Google Sheets account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to update rows through your Google Sheets account.
Activate your playbook
Activating your playbook is the last step in the process. Once you turn it on, it will automatically update a row in Google Sheets for every new Stripe payment created without requiring manual intervention.
To activate your playbook, click the toggle button at the header. Before activating, we recommend performing a test run of your playbook to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
