How to automatically update Google Sheets when a Pipedrive deal stage changes
Set the Pipedrive trigger as “Deal stage changed”
Add the Pipedrive trigger to initiate your playbook's actions before changing the deal stage.
To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Deal stage changed" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Pipedrive. It will enable your playbook to identify newly added deals and trigger necessary actions automatically.
If you have yet to connect your Pipedrive account to Relay, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.
Add the “Update row” automation in Google Sheets
Integrate the Google Sheets automation into your playbook to ensure prompt updates for every deals stage change in a particular row.
To add a step to your playbook, select "Add Step" and look for the "Get row" automation. Then, choose the table and sheet you want to work with; for example, let's say you want to work with the "Deal stage changes" table. Once you've chosen the table and sheet, you must select an identifier in the "Add filter" from your sheet data to match the Pipedrive data. In this example, the identifier is "Pipeline".
Afterward, add another step to your playbook by selecting "Update row." Next, click on all the relevant fields and fill in the necessary details such as the Add time, Currency, Expected close date, Organization, Person, Pipeline, Stage, Status, Title, and Value.
If you still need to connect your Google Sheets account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to update rows through your Google Sheets account.
Activate your playbook
Activating your playbook is the final step to updating a record of your deals' stage changes from Pipedrive to Google Sheets without the need for any manual intervention.
To activate your playbook, simply click on the toggle button in the header. Before starting it, we highly recommend running a test to ensure that all the steps work smoothly together.
